The real story of Matt Lyrek who was the victim of the officer's involved shooting at the Dollar General in Montrose, MN on 4/15/2024.

-- It started with the city's attempt to install a SMART water meter on his home without his consent.
-- He went to the city council meeting to assert his rights and authority as one of We The People in the fall of 2022.
-- His 3 stepchildren were unlawfully kidnapped from school by CPS a few months later.
-- His wife was coerced into making false statements about him to retain custody of his 2 biological babies and regain custody of his 3 stepchildren. This resulted in an Order For Protection against Matt. To this day, there are no sworn affidavits, no proof of a crime and nobody was ever injured.
-- A standoff occurred, Matt put a gun to his head to keep the Wright Cty. Sheriff's deputies away from him. Sheriff Deringer later acknowledged that no crime was committed.
-- Matt's wife took the children and moved back in with the ex-husband.
-- Under duress and in shock and disbelief of what happened, Matt left the state, in fear of his life from the authorities.
-- Over the course of a year, Matt violated his unlawful OFP on 3 occasions, each time resulting in additional warrants.
-- Matt finally returned home in March where he was being 'watched' by the Wright Cty. Sheriff's department.
-- Late Easter night he pulled out of his driveway and was immediately pursued by a sheriff who was nearby. He drove around the block and pulled back into his driveway.
-- This resulted in standoff #2. They were trying to arrest him for violating his unlawful OFP's. He remained armed inside his truck and they eventually left.
-- This situation led to felony warrants for his arrest.
-- A few weeks later is when he was ambushed at the DG by a few deputies and they told him he was under arrest. He brandished his weapon in self defense.
-- Matt was immediately tased twice, shot with 32 less than lethal rounds and suffered 9 hollow point gunshot wounds before the firing stopped.
-- He was brought to HCMC and was treated and released within 2 weeks.
-- After being put in the Wright Cty. Jail, a friend sent some very disturbing allegations of mistreatment.
-- Calls were made and he was back at HCMC within 5 hours where he flatlined twice and required an additional surgery.
-- Matt was eventually transferred to an assisted living facility while his wounds healed.
-- We weren't allowed to speak to Matt or visit him this whole time. We had legal documents that required his signature and access was blocked by Wright County and Hennepin County authorities.
-- I spoke at a city council meeting on June 10th and demanded the Mayor and Sheriff get documents signed and returned to me within 72 hours as it was his Constitutional right and their oath required it. This request was ignored.
-- Matt is recovering well and is currently back at Wright Cty. Jail on $5,000,000 bond facing decades in prison.
-- He refuses to work with a corrupt Bar attorney and understands that state courts don't have jurisdiction.
-- Matt never fired his weapon. There are no victims and nobody was ever harmed by him. There are only 'alleged victims'.

These criminals targeted Matt after his refusal of a SMART meter so they contracted with CPS to unlawfully kidnap his kids for no reason which led to this tragic chain of events. It is commonly known that CPS is the largest child trafficking organization in the country. I'm trying to raise awareness of this corruption as it doesn't seem to be an isolated case. I've lived in Wright County, MN for 23 years and had the utmost respect for the department and city employees, that respect is gone.

Matt has filed a notice of wrong into the courts and is trying to decide which move he should make next. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
